Massachusetts teachers earn 15 PDPs (Professional Development Points) thru MDESE upon completion of the course!
This self-paced course answers questions such as:

- How can I cope with stress and uncertainty?

The HOW Self-Care Online Program provides information, education, inspiration and collaboration to build a sustainable self-care plan for everyone. The HOW Self-Care Program offers online lessons designed to create and maintain better balance and ongoing self-care for educators, administrators, and staff.
One of the cornerstones of self-care is nutrition and the sustenance that we put into our bodies. In this lesson, we provide fundamental concepts of human nutrition, including hydration, clean eating, and nutrition as it relates to better overall health.
We all have an inherent desire to be close to others, and the relationships we form are vital to mental and emotional wellbeing. We explore how to develop and foster healthy, positive relationships and explore what could be holding some back from deepening relationships.
Our bodies need movement to stay energized, strong, and happy. This lesson provides knowledge on the physiological systems involved in movement, and simple, yet effective tips to maintain and improve upon a lifestyle that includes regular exercise.
When our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are in balance, this fosters resilience, self-awareness, and overall happiness. In this section, we explore current emotional health, and how to establish and maintain a more balanced state.
A positive outlook helps us to cope with obstacles and challenges that inevitably arise. often, “how” we do things is more important than “what” we do. We assess the current state of our attitude and simple yet actionable steps towards maintaining a positive outlook.
